Well, today I am wearing an orange dress, sunburst earrings, leather-looking leggings, and a gigantor band-aid. And all for a reason. So what is the reason? What could these things possibly have in common? I'll tell you...
Orange - the color of the burning sun's surface
Sunburst - the shape of the sun
Leather - what your skin looks like when you spend too much time in the sun
Gigantor band-aid - what you wear over a massive gash/scar after you get skin cancer cut off
Clever? Ok, maybe not, but go with me.
Yes, it's true, I had some skin cancer removed from my arm last week. Thankfully, it's all gone and things are going to be fine, but that's not stopping me from delivering the following public service announcement. (Buckle up.)
HEY YOU. PLEASE WEAR SUNSCREEN. ALSO, PLEASE GO TO THE DERMATOLOGIST AND GET CHECKED. ALSO, STOP PINNING COOKIES ON PINTEREST THAT ARE "HEALTHY" AND DON'T REQUIRE BUTTER OR SUGAR. THEY ARE JUST DISGUSTING IMPOSTERS OF COOKIES. Ok, so that last part wasn't nearly as important as the first part. I just figured I would get it out while I had your attention.
But really, Be good to your skin and take care of yourself, ok? I only ask because I like you and because I don't expect gigantor band-aids to become hot fashion accessories anytime soon.
