I love to have a big tote bag packed all summer full of the accessories we need to run out and get our summer on. I keep it in the closet stuffed with towels and sunscreen and floaties for the kids and sunglasses and sandals, and when we wake up and the sun is shining, we throw on our swimsuits and grab it and go. I'm a relatively type-A person and generally always have to have a plan in order to feel like I'm not going to combust, but in the summer I try to unclench a little and pretend I'm someone who goes with the flow and ceases the day. Summer is SO short (So freaking SHORT. How is it so short??), giving me this panic that if I don't take advantage of it it's going to just slip through my fingers. The warm sunshine, green grass, long days, we gotta make them last.
Lately our favorite addition to throw in the tote bag as we rush out the door for summer adventures are these Outshine bars. Just like summer, eating one of these makes you feel so good with the added benefit of being really, really delicious. Plus, they come in so many varieties (yogurt, fruit + veggie, just fruit, coconut water) and so many flavors that everyone is happy. Especially me. The lemon Outshine Simply Yogurt Bar is like liking a creamy lemon cloud and I'm obsessed.
Plus, Outshine bars don't just taste great and make you feel good, but they are also always giving back through programs like communities take root (planting fruit trees for public beautification and consumption) and working with Feeding America to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to communities in need.
Since Outshine is all about feel-good snacking, they're helping provide 1 pound of produce to local food banks and sharing cool savings when you take their snacking quiz. To help contribute and get your your $1 savings, take their snacking quiz at http://cbi.as/ev9v!
Be sure to pick up your own Outshine bars for summer fun at Walmart and check out more delicious ways to enjoy Outshine bars here or on Outshine's Facebook page. I'd love to hear your favorite!
