On Balancing

I started my first big-girl job just before Christmas, actually doing the thing I got my Master's degree in and it has been WEIRD. I've been a student and a stay-at-home mom for the last two years so this new putting-on-tights-in-the-middle-of-the-week life is pretty wild. Sometimes I sit in my tiny office without kids crawling on me and diapers to change, wearing a skirt and listening to SILENCE and I think who needs a trip to Hawaii when you have a THIS (Me. I need a trip to Hawaii. If you have one, give it to me. I only said that to paint a picture).

But then I head home and walk in the door and there are fuzzy little heads to kiss and squishy snuggles to be had and lots of talking about Spiderman to do and I realize that both places are wonderful in their way, but it's ALWAYS good to take off your tights and replace them with yoga pants. Plus, home is where the candy stash is so what I'm trying to say is it's all about balance or something. I'm trying to find it. Cute skirts and candy stashes are helping but you can go ahead send tips if you have them. Or just send that Hawaii trip. I'm pretty sure I could find some balance there but in order to ensure that my hypothesis is sound I'll need to test it first-hand. For science.
