DIY Resurfaced Succulent Planter

Well, it's that time of year where I get the itch to bring the outside in, since we are trapped inside avoiding the horrible Cache Valley air and the cold weather. I love a little greenery in my house, and have been fixin' to add succulents to the mix for a while now. So I went looking through some old decor items I have in a bin in my garage, with the intent of repurposing something as a planter. I found this boring black think that I used to have on my coffee table, and I thought it would be perfect. Then I got to work.

What I used:
Old planter
Americana Multi-Surface paint // Michaels
Foam // Michaels
Faux succulents // Michaels
Rocks // Michaels
Hot glue

What I did:
Step 1: Paint the planter.

2. Arrange the succulents on foam.
3. Push plant arrangements into planter.

4. Hot glue rocks to cover foam.

Tada! And here is a little before and after, cuz they are my favorite:

I LOVE how it turned out. If you, like me, have been wanting to jump on the succulent train... do it! And for more crafting ideas and inspiration, visit the DecoArt Multi-Surface website.
