Five Things Friday

1. This week I made a trip to JoAnn for a little project, and I spotted this sassy new jewelry line called Styled by Tori Spelling {hello 1995! Tori's back!}. Anyways, I was dying over the pieces you can use to make some super cool jewelry by just adding a chain here or some hooks there. Such a super affordable way to make one of a kind statement jewelry, AND right now you can get a bunch of 50% off coupons to JoAnn here to make it even more affordable. Yep! Score.

2. And speaking of DIY, our reader submission for this week is from the MAD talented Miss Lauren over at For Lauren & Lauren! This girl has the most darling style and she is always busy creating yummy food and even yummier DIY projects. Like this super cute maxi dress she made from a basic top and a couple of yards of jersey fabric:

Such a darling and easy project that would be so fun to take into fall with a little denim jacket and scarf. Yep. I pretty much love it.

3. After having the babe a few months ago I feel like my body has taken on a life of its own. It's shaped different, there are pounds where there used to be no pounds, and it's a reeeeal joy. Blame the new baby, blame the numerous Blizzards eaten as a result of dealing with a new baby, whatever, but after having the babe I feel like I have to be more in control of my diet then I ever have before.  That's why I am looooving this new book by Kathy Freston called The Lean, that I saw on Ellen the other day. I have never been a dieter but this book has taught me so much about the good stuff we can put in our bodies in order to make it easier to keep the bad stuff out. I am learning so much! It's really well written and makes lots of sense to me. I recomend!

However, you may question just how much I have learned once you see #4.

4. So ya, no book on nutrition is gonna stop me from my baked goods. Especially ones with pumpkin in them. No, there is no chapter in The Lean on it being ok to make and eat these SCRUMPTIOUS Pumpkin Pie Bars, but haters gonna hate, and I'm gonna have my pumpkin treats and eat them too.

5. AS IF I needed any more reasons to be freeeeeaking excited for the Les Mis movie, S goes and sends me the link to this:

Guys. Live singing! Mind blown. I. am. so. excited. Christmas is gonna be so good this year. Sooo good.

HAPPY FRIDAY!
Love you, mean it.
