So, let's talk. We sure haven't in awhile and I feel as if we're growing apart. It's not you, it's me.
You see, this time next week husband, baby, and I will have packed our entire lives up in a moving truck and will be driving the 1,944 miles from Logan, Utah to State College, Pennsylvania. Blessing of blessings, my husband has been accepted into a really great PhD program at Penn State, and as a result, we will be making PA our home for the next 4 years. In some ways, I have a little bit of a broken heart over it since I will be leaving S, all of the rest of my darling family, friends, and this little town that I love, but on the other hand the opportunity is so great that I can hardly believe our good fortune. So there's that.
Yep, like I've said, the distance between us? It's not you, it's really, really me.
For the last year or so, this blog has been a great distraction for S and I. During work on masters degree's, the day to day of office jobs, and the normal stresses of young adult life, this blog has been a place for us to spew our feelings, talk about the things we love, and be creative. And the fact that anyone at all chose to read along has pretty much blown our minds. On top of that, you guys are smart, witty, and so full of style that it has made writing such a huge, huge, pleasure.
Now it really sounds like we're about to break up, huh? First, I pull our the whole "we need to talk"and "it's not you, it's me" thing, and now I'm trying to butter you up to help numb the blow. It's just like 7th grade and Jason McMillian all over again, huh? Ouch. That one really got my Girbaud jeans in a twist.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is we aren't breaking up, we will just be taking a little break from posting for awhile. S has started a new job, I've got a thing or two going on with new babe and the move, and it just feels right to put the blog on hold for a little while. We aren't saying goodbye, we're just saying "see ya later" for a while. I'm so so looking forward to getting re-settled with things and returning to posting and chatting with you cuties regularly, and I know S feels the same, cause we love you, and we mean it.
So, in the meantime, keep being sassy and don't you dare pay full price for those wedges.
