Black and white.

Normally at this time of the year I would have long since shifted into my hibernation wardrobe of muted winter colors, especially black and white and gray, because of the winter depression that had been plaguing me for a few months already. The good news is that this hasn't happened yet this year because the weather has been strangely pleasant, and it's wonderful and weird and makes me wonder if the world really is coming to an end in 2012. But, regardless of the reason for the loveliness, I can't tell you how thankful I am for the sun and blue skies that have graced our presence so far into this winter season and the very few snowfalls that have only occurred once a month and don't affect driving conditions. It's nice to wake up knowing you can get in your car and not die pulling out of your driveway, ya know? And really, if you think about it, this isn't just good for me, it's quite the blessing for you since you won't have to hear me complain about winter and snow every day until June. You know, like last winter.

Luckies.

I do, however, feel like my black and white wardrobe is being a little neglected, so I am still going to bust it out, despite these unexpected weather patterns. However, I made sure to make this combo anything but depressing. See?

Lots of bold patterns and geometric shapes would never have made it into last year's sad winter wardrobe, I can guarantee you that! Bless you 2012 January weather. My bold prints thank you.

Have a great sunny (figuratively or literally) winter day!
