Don't go, Summer...and a giveaway!

Yesterday I started to panic.

My calendar says it's August now, commercials are telling me it's back to school time, and clothing stores, the one place I can usually turn to to find solace in troubling times, are telling me I need to start buy cable-knit sweaters! I am freaking. Where did summer go??? I am not ready to start covering my legs in wool tights and layering my clothes to high heaven. No thanks.

And so, I am staging a protest. From now until the end of October I refuse to wear anything but blindingly bright clothing or a swimsuit. You know how people say when Christmas is over that it really isn't because you can keep Christmas in your heart all year? Well, I plan to keep summer on my body as long as I can, and that way it will never really be over. So, if you see a girl in neon tankini, cut-offs, and sandals wandering around Utah in mid-October, you can sleep soundly at night knowing that I won't stand for this rushing along of the best season there is. If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything, people.

And so, here is my first bright, summery, outfit of my summer-cannot-end protest:
